Hey People, thanks for stopping by, were gonna keep it brief but brazen. First things first, I hope the content on my site warrants a repeat visit. We're continually adding new short films and sketches within my production company, Honk Beep Films! You can catch the comedy sketches here or on YouTube, Funny Or Die, so on and so forth, and so on, and then so forth.
Since I was knee high to a grasshopper, hatched in Kansas City, I’ve had an affininty and fascination for the art of comedy, in all formats. When I was 11 years old, my mother purchased a VHS camcorder, which was the size of a damn Buick LeSabre. She sealed her own fate upon that purchase. Her household was turned into a movie set and her closet the wardrobe department. From the ages of 11 to 16 I made home movies with my sister and cousins and of course my mother, Pimp C, would make an occasional reluctant cameo.
Joining the theatre department and forensic performance team in high school I met my dorkiness face to face, I was a “Theatre Nerd.” I performed in 16 plays in high school and weekends I would do improv competitions. The women would soon swoon. |
It was after a play in high school that I determined my move to Los Angeles. I went to study acting at Kansas State University and after 1 semester of it, I decided to move to L.A., the greatest toilet on earth!
Upon becoming a California resident in the fall of 2002, I had no money and a bag of dreams,…oh and a picture of my grandmother giving me the finger! She must have meant that I was #1. I began doing stand up comedy at the world famous Comedy Store on Sunset. Hard lessons, determination, selling battery operated water fountains door to door, ironed out what seemed like the impossible. I got and agent, joined an acting class, booked some commercials a couple of roles in a few movies,…..and that’s the tip of the iceberg. My sincere love for comedy and acting is the same as it was when I was living in my 1996 Honda Civic for six months. Lookout for the Sony PSP commercials, I was fortunate enough to play, “The Annoying Guy.” My mom said it was type casting. Its just a character, right? Be on the lookout for the movie, “The 305,” a spoof of the movie, “300” and,“The Office,” where I play the Oracle; on DVD this spring. And as of the present I spend my time pursuing a career in comedic acting. I do birthdays and Bat Mitzvahs as well.
So, in closing Im glad you stopped by, and keep in touch, feel free to send an email or two, and I will respond faster than the LAPD….gimme a day or two. |
